Day 082 & 083 - Scenic drive in Kananaskis Country

Last day of sunny weather was spent driving around in the country looking for wildlife in Kananaskis.  Marc and I hadn't been there before so we decided to take mum while the weather was nice.  Spending the day looking for bears really can be quite exhausting... we didn't find any but we did get to play with two huskies and found a few deers along the road.

Found some interesting tracks in the snow... none of bears though...

Marc was like a little boy playing in the snow..

The snow was so powdery, beautifull...

Pretty deep in some areas...

Ohoh, mum knew this was bad news..

How fun it is to play in the snow!!

These two dogs had just returned from crosscountry snowboarding with their owner.  They dragged him up the hill and then ran behind him on the way down.  Pretty cool.  They were so friendly!

I love the two different colour eyes on this one, stunning!

I think we were there maybe 30 minutes, look at the ice forming under our car already...

Here are some white tail deer we saw along the road.  They were pretty scared of us unlike the ones in Banff.

We made good use of our new winter tyres driving on snow!

This lake is fully frozen, you could probably skate on it. CRAZY!

The end of a LONG drive.  We then went to eat at the Iron Goat and watched the sunset over Canmore. NICE!!!

Sammy :-)
