Day 008 - We can now relax

Today was a weird day of freaking out and anxiety. Wondering “what if we don’t find a car in time, what if we buy a lemon or what if the guy we meet in a neighbourhood we know nothing about is a super dodgy freak or from a gang.”

But as usual it seemed to be all fine as most people here are SUPER friendly. We test drove the car and it’s tentatively ours at the moment. I won’t spoil what kind of car it is, I’ll leave that as a surprise for tomorrow. We’ll take a pic or 2 in our new wheels.
I test drove a Nissan Spectra that was kitted with 19 inch rims, subwoofer, manual, lowered, sports suspension and low profile tyres. Exactly what we need for camping and driving across the country, right!?!?!

So that was a waste of time but it was interesting to drive a manual car through town on the right hand side of the road (with the gear stick on the right) and I left the hand brake still up…
Anyway other than getting our Social Security Numbers we didn’t do allot today.
Briefly visited Pacific Centre, Robson Sushi (again) and Tim Hortons.  That’s right Lee, we got Tim Hortons chiller and Tim Bits, it was awesome!

Tomorrow it’s Monkeys taking over the world on IMAX, buying a car, and roof top pool party movie night. Can’t wait…

Here are some photos that we previously didn’t post but still really liked that Sammy wanted to put up:

One of the many tracks in Stanley Park.  So beautiful!
Found the spot where the squirrel stores his food

We watched him come down the same tree over and over again

Racing against the winter, thses little things are so quick...

He would take a few bites out of his peanut...

And take off as quick as the wind

Back up the tree to start the cycle again and again..  It was so much fun to watch!
Some cool shots we got with our macro lens
Some beautifully manicured gardens all around stanley park

Although the locals assure us there are no bears in Stanely Park, we found an interesting specimen that suggests otherwise.  This was right on the side of the track.  Lindy or Lauren, you might be able to help me identify the owner...
This weird looking mushroom reminded us of something right out of Pandora..

This I found very interesting, they have a massive swimming pool right next to the beach and all the locals go there during summer.  Its packed with people whenever its sunny, its strange to me because they are surrounded by a fence...
This is Second Beach.. notice no waves and most of the people are at the pool..
