Day 014 - Vancouver Island Camping

I have never been on a Ferrie before, it was pretty cool.

Driving onboard the Ferrie @ Horseshoe Bay Vancouver

Onboard (notice the driver is on the left of the car, super freaky, I'm still getting used to it)

About to depart on the top deck

We didn't expect the crazy wind coming straight off the boat.

Sammy had a few issues seeing clearly.

Bye Vancouver

Getting out of the wind..

Back out on the deck, gotta enjoy the sun while it lasts.

we finally arrived...

It's camping time
A little freaked out by bears, but foreigners in Australia are always freaked by snakes and spiders and they never bother me camping. That's how Sammy see's it anyway. Plus there is heaps of people around. we should be fine....

Having a pint for ya Jared

We learnt very early on that in North America, YOU ALWAYS SHARE A MEAL !!!
Even though we shared this meal it was still too much. This is at the Black Goose a 100% British owned and run pub. Awesome food and very very English.

One of the many rooms in the Black Goose

yep

Nap time

Our bed

Thanks to a friends Kevin and Patrick for lending us they're tent, we're camping out for the next few weeks.

So this is our new place.

This is Rathtrevor Provincial Park, right on the beach, we can actually hear and smell the waves from our tent.

We're still loving the trip. Part 2 starting today...
