Day 026 - Discovering Whistler Village

After our long drive the day before (over 700 kms) we were buggered!  We had a really nice sleep in our beautiful hostel and decided to go check out Whistler Village, which is so like a miniature lego town, its so cute!  Every building is in stone and wood with chimneys and all the gardens are perfectly manicured with pine trees, mini creeks and little bridges.  You can see how awesome the Winter Olympics would have been last year.

Winter clothes shopping, They say they're discounted but when you drive 20 mins out of town they're the same price. $$$$

The Ski hill converts to a downhill Mountain Bike track for the Summer. Looks wicked fun...

Sooo many people....

After wondering around the shops and paying way too much for lunch we decided to go for a drive a discover more of Whistler’s lakes and outside suburbs.

Some guys house.

soooo many people, dam Labor Day weekend...!

This is what happens when I have a super light dinner, no breakfast and share a meal for lunch....  crash time.

We need to eat, like NOW !

Long day eh
We bought groceries for dinner and made pasta and vegies at the hostel, which in itself was an accomplishment given how many bloody people were in the kitchen at the one time.  There were 2 groups cooking for over 15 to 20 people each, plus all us and a few other couples.  I think I counted 16 people in the kitchen!  Man dad would have been shitty at that!!!

Met a new couple that is sharing our room, they’ve been traveling for 8 months!  Been to places in Australia that we’ve never been to, makes us feel like maybe we could keep traveling and not get a job….. If only we could afford it!

We went to bed early as we had a special breakfast planned for the next day.
