Day 028 & 029 - Bye Whistler, Hello Rockies

We ended up staying an extra night at the Whistler HI hostel. My sore foot ended up actually needing antibiotics and had to be elevated for 24 hours before I got serious blood poisoning. I got a nasty infection that started as a simple cut. Probably shouldn't have walked around Tofino allday bare foot. :(

We had a great time here, probably the best stay we have had in a hostel so far. We'll be back at some point I'm sure. We didn't do much other than chill out but we did go to a pretty cool restaurant called Mongolie Grill.

You just fill a bowl with food thats priced on weight, once your bowl is filled with whatever you want you hand it to the chef.

He puts it on the scales and then slaps it on the massive hot plate. Ya get rice and miso soup for free too.

So after a day of rest we took off down the high way on an all day drive east, heading towards the Rockies.  We really enjoyed Whistler but it kind of felt like a theme park or something.
Here are some photos of the beautiful scenery we got to see along the way.

We ended the day at a hotel on the side of the highway which turned out to be very nice.  Watching the sunset from the hotel hot tub, very nice!
